iParametrics' Personnel Continue To Support the Disaster Recovery Effort with Federal Assistance in the Hurricane Ike Disaster Now Topping $2 Billion
This week Brad Harris, the Federal Coordinating Officer at FEMA, announced a milestone in the Hurricane Ike recovery effort. Federal assistance has now topped $2 billion, and funding assistance under the PA program now totals nearly $774 million. This includes $360 million for debris removal, $335 million for protective measures, $69 million for repairs, and $8 million for state management costs. The most intense storm of 2008 and a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 145 mph, Ike was the third most destructive hurricane to ever make landfall in the United States.
iParametrics has mobilized its technical staff as part of the nation’s response and recovery effort to the damage caused by several recent disasters, including Hurricanes Ike and Gustav, Tropical Storm Fay and the Severe Storms and Flooding in the Midwest. iParametrics’ Estimators, Engineers, Construction Managers, Construction Inspectors, Debris Specialists, Community Planners, and Emergency Management Specialists assisted communities throughout the South and Midwest through the FEMA Public Assistance process.
iParametrics team members continue to work diligently to help communities recover from these and earlier disasters. The recovery effort continues for Hurricane Katrina, now three years later.
