iParametrics Mobilizes Personnel in Support of the California Forest Fires
iParametrics deployed technical staff as part of the nation's response to October's California wildfires.
Our disaster and debris experts are participating as members of the Federal Aid Representative team under
FEMA's Public Assistance Program.
The California series of wildfires began burning across Southern California on October 20, 2007. The fires
impacted over 500,000 acres of land and burned from Santa Barbara County to the U.S.-Mexico border.
Affected areas of population included Malibu, Los Angeles and San Diego. The firefighters were further
challenged by Santa Ana winds of up to 40 mph, which compounded the problem.
In addition to our involvement in the California fires, iParametrics has been an integral player in many
disaster recovery projects including Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma, the Kansas tornados, and the New
England floods, among many others. Co-founder Andrew J. Klein says, "It is a privilege to be involved in
work that impacts so many people in a positive way, helping communities more quickly reach a degree of
normalcy."
