iParametrics Employees On Site in Tennessee to Help with Disaster Recovery

In response to President Obama’s major disaster declaration in Tennessee, iParametrics has provided a number of its employees who specialize in roads, water and wastewater. The Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is at work to provide public and individual assistance in the wake of the severe storms, flooding, straight-line winds and tornadoes that hit the state in April and May.

In support of the FEMA PA program and as a Fluor team member, iParametrics has personnel in the field to aid community recovery. The amount of federal assistance dollars approved within the first two weeks of declaration topped $100 million. This recovery effort is likely to be long-term, as the Tennessee disaster has set new records.

The flood waters have surpassed anything on the record books, which have been kept since the 1880s. The Cumberland River rose 13 feet above flood stage, and early local estimates for Nashville alone come to over $1 billion in damage.
