Chatham County, Georgia:
ARPA Grant Program Administration
Chatham County, Georgia, is located on the Atlantic coast of the state, and is the sixth most populous county in Georgia. To support local small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Chatham County allocated $1.75 million of its ARPA funds for business assistance. iParametrics was selected to design and manage the grant program to ensure funds were distributed equitably, efficiently, and in compliance with federal requirements.
Situation
Chatham County needed expert help administering a relief program targeted at small businesses harmed by the pandemic. The County prioritized reaching nonprofits and underserved businesses while ensuring federal and local oversight requirements were met.
Task
iParametrics was engaged to develop and manage the entire Small Business Assistance Program, including outreach, marketing, eligibility guidance, grant evaluation, application processing, and training County staff on program administration.
Action
We implemented a full Grant Management System, created public-facing outreach materials, trained a County-based team in grant review, and maintained detailed records on every application, award, and dollar spent. Our team worked closely with County leadership to align the strategy with ARPA guidelines.
Result
iParametrics successfully managed the program, which processed over 215 applications and awarded grants to 92 businesses totaling more than $1.8 million. Post-award feedback was collected to refine future programming, demonstrating the County’s commitment to continuous improvement and economic recovery.
