Hernando County, Florida:
Disaster Recovery Case Management
Following the destruction of Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Fall 2024, Hernando County faced critical housing recovery challenges. With homes damaged across the county, iParametrics was brought in to manage casework and deploy temporary housing solutions in partnership with FEMA and state agencies.
Situation
With over 215,000 residents impacted, Hernando County needed a coordinated response to house displaced residents quickly. The county required expertise in managing housing recovery logistics and regulatory compliance in the wake of widespread storm damage.
Task
iParametrics was tasked with overseeing a Direct Housing Program using donated travel trailer units (TTUs), verifying eligibility, managing multi-agency coordination, and delivering transparent communications to ensure timely housing placements and compliance.
Action
We implemented a five-part approach: tracking cases through the Vision Link system, partnering with FEMA and local organizations, deploying TTUs with site inspections, ensuring regulatory adherence, and creating clear public-facing materials to guide residents through recovery.
Result
iParametrics helped place 81 households in temporary housing and manage 234 active cases, cutting TTU deployment time by 30%. We ensured regulatory compliance and helped the county strengthen its recovery operations, earning praise for responsiveness and coordination.
