Atlas of Accountability & Atlas of Disasters

Rebuild By Design, a non-profit known for forward-thinking solutions to natural hazards and urban resilience, partnered with iParametrics to develop the Atlas of Accountability and the Atlas of Disasters. iParametrics was called on to undertake advanced data engineering and analytical tasks necessary to build reliable, actionable insights.

Situation

Rebuild by Design needed tools to help communities and policymakers assess their exposure to disasters and the value of resilience investments. They required a data-driven partner to collect, engineer, and analyze complex datasets to build usable frameworks for public policy guidance.

Task

iParametrics was tasked with collecting, standardizing, and visualizing national data on natural hazards, infrastructure, and demographics. The objective was to identify regional vulnerabilities and deliver insights in formats accessible to decision-makers at all levels of government.

Action

We built robust data pipelines from FEMA, CDC, HUD, and others, applying rigorous quality control and geospatial analysis. Our team developed local-to-national scale visualizations, interactive dashboards, and briefs, translating technical outputs into practical tools for resilience and equity-focused planning.

Result

The atlases now serve as cornerstone resources for resilience policy. Policymakers use them to prioritize investments, shape federal and state strategies, and better prepare vulnerable communities. iParametrics’ role ensured data credibility, visual clarity, and enduring policy relevance.
