Georgia Mountain Regional Commission:
ARPA Grant Program Administration
To support post-COVID economic recovery across 12 counties and 38 municipalities, the Georgia Mountain Regional Commission (GMRC) partnered with iParametrics. The goal was to implement tools and training that would improve resilience, optimize CARES Act and ARPA funding, and accelerate long-term growth.
Situation
The region experienced widespread disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic. GMRC needed expert support to expedite financial recovery, strengthen economic infrastructure, and prepare communities for future disasters.
Task
iParametrics was contracted to guide counties and cities on CARES Act and ARPA fund usage, create customized recovery tools, and deliver resilience-building strategies. Deliverables included a Pandemic Transmission Analysis Toolkit, Economic Resilience Plan Template, and both in-person and online training modules.
Action
We served as a liaison between governments and businesses, conducted needs assessments, and developed toolkits to assist local economies in recovery. We also helped communities attract industry and investment through physical infrastructure revitalization strategies.
Result
GMRC successfully deployed business and disaster resilience tools across its member communities. Several counties used the provided template to develop local economic resilience plans which positioned the region for stronger recovery and long-term economic sustainability.
